4th grade - Pumpkins Close Up

I had a feeling our 4th graders would do an amazing job on these.

Good thing we painted them on canvas!

We started this lesson by painting the canvas orange. Rather than randomly brushing on the paint, students were encouraged to put thought into their brush strokes. You can see the brush strokes even when painting a single solid color. Notice how the orange strokes help inform the shape of the subject.

Check out those bold highlights!

7th grade - Two Point Perspective

Using two point perspective, students in 7th grade are designing their ideal shopping plaza. They may design any type of stores that they are interested in. For example: clothing outlets, sports memorabilia, restaurants, etc. The stores can be real or their own idea for a business.

Check out the progress!

More photos to come!
