4th Grade Van Gogh's Bedroom!

This past week the 4th grade studied Van Gogh's painting Bedroom in Arles.

The objective was to learn perspective and some history on
Vincent van Gogh.

The students started out by tracing these cardboard square in the middle of their paper. Then drawing lines from the corners of the squares to the corners of the paper.

Then the students followed a directive drawing of standard furniture that would be in a bedroom. ex. bed, table dresser, door, window, pictures etc.

After that part was finished the students used their creativity to design the perfect bedroom. They could add any details they could come up with then add color.

Here are the finished pieces!!! I think we have some future interior designers in the class!!!
