Starry Night! 3rd Grade!

Last week the 3rd grade created ART that was inspired by the post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh.

We studied one of his most iconic paintings...
Starry Night!

First the students used violet and blue paint to create the main focus of the piece.

Then the students used yellow to create the stars, moon, and other highlights in the piece.

The the students used a light blue to create swirls in the sky. This made the painting really start to take shape!

Lastly, the students created the final details with the orange paint!

 All finished!!!
